Any popular architecture uses natural or easily accessible construction materials, using local resources. With us the wood was used in the wooded areas, the stone in mountainous areas, clay and brick in simple areas. The shape of the roof depends on the area and the climate, but also on the construction material. In the mountain areas the roof is high, generally in 4 waters, with steep slopes, to allow the water to download quickly. In the ses areas, the roof is lower so as not to oppose the resistance of the wind.
A decisive element for traditional architecture is the porch or the porch. Always positioned on the southern facade, the porch is a semi-chiusian space, passing through the outside and the interior, a place of communication with nature and the specific Romanian for the Romanians.
The part of the traditional houses was generally very simple: you enter the fireplace, where it was cooked and eaten and from there in two other rooms. One of them was intended for daily life and the other was the «clean room», where the qualities and valuables were kept.
The interior is noted for simplicity: the walls have been to go blank, decorated with paresis (small carpet or hand canvas, which are positioned on the wall, in the peasant houses, for decorative purposes.) Or ceramic dishes, and on the windows they were sewn with traditional motifs. The furniture were generally made of wood and some pieces, especially in Moldova and Muntenia, decorated with traditional reasons: straight line, points, spiral, teeth, rosette, cross, fir.
If you want an authentic rustic vacation house, the most «correct» solution would be to find an old house and recondition it. It is difficult, but not impossible, to find a construction that you deserve structurally consolidated. It will be an attentive and a little expensive process, for which it would be better to use an architect specialized in restoration, but the harmony and peace of life in a traditional authentic house will redeem the effort.
If you want a new home, but with the influences of Romanian architecture, you should call a specialist. You will have to take a lot of care of the proportions: the peasant houses were small size and small windows, if you want a larger constructive it would be good to inspire you by the hottest men with the high ground floor.
Important elements for a modern interior with rustic influences
Many of us want the peace of life in the country and the comfort of the urban home. In a contemporary traditional house you can both have. You just have to correctly dose the traditional elements in the contemporary atmosphere to obtain an interior with style, based on the new traditional-modern aesthetic contrast.
Floors
Choose a rustic floor similar to the floor with long and long blades. As a plot, it can be fir, pine or oak wood, with nodes and imperfections that add authenticity. As a material we suggest the solid or stratified wood parquet, whose wear layer is also made of natural wood.
ceiling
The apparent rays on the ceiling are of great effectiveness in a rustic arrangement. If the construction has a wooden structure, the bar and axes ends and leave the entire ceiling. If you still want a more stylized arrangement, cover the space between the beams and leave them only in sight. And don’t pearly shiny them!
Wooden furniture
Add a rustic note to your home through solid wood furniture: a dining table made with a piece of incomplete oak on the edges will add the heat of a modern kitchen, in simple lines.
As a table you can use a traditional 3 -foot table or a carved or painted dowries case. In the bedroom, the bed sheet can be made with a boiled ballot panel.
The traditional carved chairs will give air intended for the dining room. But join a simple meal, in straight lines, so as not to visually load the space.
Fabrics
The fabrics represented an important decoration in the peasant house. The traditional rugs found in the farmers’ fairs have enormous aesthetic value and can immediately animate a living room or bedroom.
The cortex, the Cerga, the Parsh, the rubber, can also be decoration elements- for the uul between the walls of a room or for the decorations cushions, it is important to keep them only as accents and not to crowd the space with traditional decorations.
Soba
The fireplace was at the center of a traditional house. In a modern house this can be transformed into a rustic fireplace or a stove for a large kitchen. For greater authenticity, it creates a special place in the construction of the fireplace or of the firewood stove.
Agglomeration of elements
The most common error in organizing a rustic interior is the attempt to imitate a traditional interior through the agglomeration of specific elements. Try to find traditional furniture and decorations to be highlighted in a modern interior. Do not join a Romanian carpet near a massive wood rustic mass and traditional carved chairs: you will get a charge atmosphere that hates the kitsch.
Take care of the fabric: being very rich in colors and motifs, is quite textile element in a room to refer to the traditional atmosphere.
False finishes
This is where the laminated parquets enter with exaggerated and worn decorations, the decorative polyurethane beams that imitate the wooden beams and the furniture made of shiny cards. Authenticity is the key to style furniture. Try to find old furniture to recondition and reuse. You can also change their initial destination: a three -legged chair can be used as a side table near the sofa and a wooden door can become a bed sheet.
In addition to the warm and welcoming atmosphere specific for a harmonious house, an interior with rustic influences also offers the advantage that is not obsolete, because tradition is timeless.
