Inspiration 150 ANS – Novoceram.fr

The experience in the Caroscope begins through the history of Novoceram and all over the world, from 1863 to today, which is organized in a gallery marked with eight windows illustrated by the Spanish artist Maria Corte.

1863: Creation of the Salon des Rédusés (Manat's lunch on Manet's grass)
1863: The company was founded by Louis Boissonnet while purchasing a titles of the building in which there was a ceramic and tile factory located on Rue d'Alger in St Vallier, in collaboration with another manufacturer of ceramics, Mr. Gallay. They will share the premises for their respective ceramic factory.

1897: Alexis, son of Louis Boissonnet, 18 years old, goes to training at Lhospier, producer of enamel in Juan-le-Pins. He then met François Quer, a Spanish Catalan with whom he became a friend. He will marry François Quer's sister. The two friends will build the Villa Mauresque together still visible in St Vallier.
1900: Boissonnet receives a prize at the 1900s Universal Exhibition for an allegorical vase «Il Rhone and the Saône» created by the sculptor Devaux. In fact, they added the production of artistic sandstones in flames and sandstone buildings to their production of porcelain for culinary use.
