Today, January 24, I chose to celebrate a Romanian product, created in the momentum of the Bucharest tree, with wood from Romania, from meticulous meticulous: a product brought to the level of Art-sculpture!
First I say some words on the creator of the product of the product. The slender tree is a laboratory for the production and furniture production in Romania, for a passion, for creation, for unique pieces.
What I have in common with Adrian, the founder of Slender Tree, is the fact that we come from other professions, from environments totally different from the creative and technical one in which we turn and collaborate now: he from finance, by law. Adrian Ion worked in Deloitte, later in Ernst & Young Ireland and then as CFO in Romania for one of the great international merchants of raw materials.
One day, when I went to sign a delegation of the lawyer, I find that he works to expand and decorate a house in the country where he applies the industrial and rough style. In this approach it has experienced seriously and with liquid glass that receives fantastic positive reactions. And so he founded Slender Tree in 2017, giving up the corporate world then.
Let me tell you about the Romanian product brought to the level of art sculpture. My latest favorite product created with Adrian Ion of Slender Tree is, without a doubt, or Massive arcade of oriental inspiration. It is a huge piece, made of walnut, this time made of new wood, recovered by an old demolition by a house from a village. The wood has been working creatively to look old, consumed, imperfect.

The lace in the arch area was carefully worked by the hands of local craftsmen and the process lasted several weeks.
The side pillars, corpulent and stable impose a majestic sobriety, balancing the aesthetic of the carved playful model.
Customers wanted exotic accents in their disposal, being in love with Morocco, Andalusia and Africa in general. From the flow of self-conclusion and ideation, I undoubtedly have that the arches and lace worked in mandalam or oriental symbols.
First of all that can be seen when it entered the house it was a very long room, about 15 meters, I proposed from the beginning its segmentation in the middle – to separate the area of the day from the night area. Nothing could be more suitable than an arch for this place. In general, an arch is delimited, but it also makes space. In this case, the room of the type of corridor, creating an attractive «pitstop», but does not obstruct the view of the courtyard on the back, but invites us to pass under it, towards the «tropical forest» on the walls.

The trial work came out of the slim Tree Workshop was based only on an image of Marrakeh’s «Ins» and to our summary indications. In the rest I left the creator free.
We believe that the success of these unique pieces that involve so much folding, creation and time are in Because the mind in the mind of the one who started making production.
I think the next values never pale:
- Unique products
- The manuality of the production process – designed to include the addition of value «as artistic», in harmful volumes
- Durability of the product (and therefore a lower waste frequency)
- Creative reuse -from materials considered waste, waste, by -products, elements intended for destruction normally what would be called upcycling
- responsibility for nature: We use the old wood, the wooden wood, wooden wood; Sustainable materials: plywood, cardboard panels; Grant priority to solutions and ends up in watery dispersion.
And I’m happy to find them in so many products with Romanian design!
I am honestly proud of the products that come out of the hands of seminars that work in wood from Romania – I see a lot of attention, passion, patience, trust and ability. I propose to participate in the creation of many special and «fans» pieces, whose value does not decrease over time and the needle becomes only more consumed, touches and memories.
