Contemporary elegance in the interior design. Article Forbes Life, Irina Androne.

Elegance is distinguished by the harmony of form, by the pleasant combination of the elements, through a sobriety of good taste.

Contemporary elegance represents that philosophy of design, in which the clean lines of the modern style meet the aesthetic of the classic elements.

In this article I will describe the elements that make up this harmony, to make a living space, which emanates both the innovation of the modern style and the elegance of the classic style. Coco Chanel- «Simplicity is the key note of all true elegance.» This design approach is suitable for those looking for a simple, warm and elegant environment.

The color palette.

To achieve contemporary elegance, the color palette is fundamental.
The color must be neutral, the palette contains a selection of white, beige, soft, attenuated tones, which evoke feelings of grace and refinement.
These shades are chosen to restore brightness in space, to create a light internal environment, a peaceful oasis in a frenetic external world. I recommend this style to large houses, with high ceilings, with large windows, through which the light can easily penetrate, projecting different shadows during the day.

Decorative elements for the walls.

For a while, the decorative profiles have regained their place in interior design projects. Although it may seem only a small detail, a decorative profile, which transports a well -chosen model, with which you can outline
Large and high paintings, with simple images or abstract themes, positioned on simple walls, above the fireplace, the table or the sofa, are distinguished as focal points, without visually crowded. These are often classified by thin decorative profiles, by the same decorative range with those that frame the ceiling, thus creating a feeling of design units.
To give spatiality and elegant inside, the positioning of a large mirror on a wall is the ideal choice. We have to think very well about the position, so that its reflection makes a beautiful environment next to, perhaps also a window, an external environment, detached from nature.

Choose furniture.

In the event of approaching an elegant style, shapes and plots are primordial details. The furniture, although they are chosen with spectacular forms, are designed to be used daily, embracing those of the house in comfort. Each furniture, from the white sofa or from the cream in the living room, to the elegant armchairs, is chosen to harmonize perfectly with functionality. Although the furniture lines are clean, the use of golden details and shiny finishes, induces a smooth opulence, without leaving the contemporary design. Elements such as: consoles, tables, devices or decorations, chosen in glossy metal finish, increase the design line, bringing a luxurious note of shine. The soft plots in the sofa’s coating invite you to relax and carpets give you a silky touch on bare feet.
For floors it is advisable to choose a solid wood parquet, of hard essence or a coated natural stone. These finishes will add a strong character to the elegant environment.

Positioning the furniture according to the symmetry principle.

When entering a chamber pencil according to the principle of symmetry, it is observed immediately, since each mobile corresponds to another, the artistic paintings are positioned carefully and each decorative object has its well -defined place.
The furniture is strategically positioned, as follows: sofas, table, chairs and appliances, sit in order to reflect each other, on a central axis or around a focal point of the room, like a large fireplace or window. This mirror effect allows a continuous flow of movement and interaction in space.
The use of design symmetry extends to smaller details, such as the positioning of cushions, the organization of books on a shelf or the positioning lamps on lateral tables, every element that contributes to the general sensation of order. The beauty of symmetry in the elegant contemporary design is that it does not translate into a rigid or monotonous environment. On the contrary, it brings a regular and relaxing environment in space.

LIGHTIN

The lighting in contemporary interior design should be an artistic approach, to be placed strategically, in order to attract attention to the main areas of the house. Lighting elegant interiors is a meticulous planned characteristic, designed to adapt to various needs and create a perfect atmosphere, for every occasion.
An elegant appearance is made, choosing unique appliances, with an imposing design. Choose interesting lamps, similar to elegant jewels, especially in the sofas and table area. The symmetrical positioning of the lamps with the foot and applies on the walls, creates a real elegant source, which characterizes this style. The light source must be warm (2500 k up to 3500 k) compared to a cold white, 5000 K, to obtain a warm and comfortable interior. If the house has large windows, natural light will create a contrast with hot bulbs inside, making the space more airy and higher. Contemporary elegance is a style of timeless interior design, with emphasis on simplicity, quality and harmony. This discreet refinement promises a timeless and graceful house.
